Late night meanderings

Sometimes the only thing that differentiates happiness from a sense of stagnation – is gratitude.

As the thought comes to my mind, I stop, is it really that simple? Gratitude?

I think back at the moments when I was the happiest, was I grateful? Warm colourful images flush thru my head. Sunny lazy days. Smiles. A bubbly feeling shows up in my stomach. I smile cracks up my face. My chest opens and my shoulders relax as I remember moments of joy, of love and of serenity. Was I grateful, yes I was! I soaked it up, bathed in it. Being right there, skinless, heart opened, offering everything, fearing nothing.

Conclusion: Giving is receiving – fearlessly.

It’s a catch 22. Nothing happens when being shut down.
